Case Number: V-07-23
Applicants: Jeffrey H. and Linda D. Mills
Owners: Jeffrey H. and Linda D. Mills
Present Zoning: A – Agriculture
Description of Action Requested: Applicants have resided on property and parked in driveway beside home since early 1980s. Adding a carport on S. Because of topography, proposed location will not cause line of sight issues for motorists.

Reasons necessitating the Request: Carport will sit 33 feet from roadside, approximately 53 feet from center line. County Ordinance requires a setback of 65 feet from center line. Proposed location will allow applicants to use established driveway and shall not disturb septic field of home.
The petition (application) and file on this matter are available for public inspection during the regular working hours of the Scott County Courthouse, 1 E. McClain Avenue, Scottsburg, IN, Suite G40 until two business days prior to the hearing date. (812-752-8445, ext. 1)

Case Number: V-08-23 Stagnolia
Applicants: Brandon and Kelly Stagnolia
Owners: Brandon and Kelly Stagnolia
Present Zoning: A – Agriculture
Description of Action Requested: Proposed project is a 40×60 pole barn and 10×10 covered patio for use for storage and family gatherings. Location selected due to stormwater run-off to west and location of septic system and field, allowing only a 10-foot setback from property’s east side instead of the required 30-foot setback in an Agricultural District.
Description of Property Affected: Parcel No. 72-02-19-400-075.000-002 being 2.88 acres cka 245 Stonybrook Drive, Austin, IN 47102
Reasons necessitating the Request: West side of property is low and tends to hold water after rains; east side is higher and drains well. Location of septic system also dictates available space for said barn and will allow use of present driveway for barn access.
