NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ANNEXATION ORDINANCE
Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of the City of Scottsburg shall hold a public hearing on a proposed annexation of property on May 8, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall, 2 E. McClain Ave., Scottsburg, Indiana. The property that is the subject of the proposed annexation is located generally at 1539 W. State Road 56, Scottsburg, Indiana 47170, being further identified as Parcel Nos. 72-04-24-300-021.000-007 and 72-04-24-300-021.002-007, and consisting of approximately ± 58.164 acres. A copy of the Petition for Voluntary Annexation filed with the City of Scottsburg by the property owner may be examined during business hours at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, City Hall, 2 E. McClain Ave., Scottsburg, Indiana. Written objections or suggestions to the petition that are filed with the Clerk-Treasurer at least 48 hours before the hearing will be considered and read aloud at the hearing. Interested persons desiring to present their views upon the
petition, either in writing or verbally, will be given the opportunity to be heard at the above-mentioned time and place. Said hearing may be continued from time to time as may be necessary.
