NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS REGARDING DETERMINATION
TO ISSUE BONDS OF THE OWEN SALT CREEK FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
The taxpayers of the Owen Salt Creek Fire Protection District (the “District”) are hereby given notice that the Board of Trustees of the District determined, at its meeting held April 12, 2021, to issue general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $450,000 (the “Bonds”). The proceeds of the Bonds will be used to finance (1) the purchase of a tanker truck and related equipment and (2) any other related equipment and improvements thereto (collectively, the “Project”). The proceeds of the Bonds will also be used to pay preliminary expenses related to such Project and all related and incidental expenses incurred in connection therewith, and to pay the costs of selling and issuing the Bonds.
The proposed Bonds will have a final maturity no later than January 1, 2029 and will bear interest at a rate or rates not exceeding 5.00% per annum, the exact rate or rates to be determined by bidding. The Bonds will be payable from ad valorem property taxes levied and collected on all taxable property within the District.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Scottsburg, Indiana, acting by and through its Mayor, will receive sealed bids at the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer, Scottsburg City Hall, Scottsburg, Indiana, until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 11, for the 2021-1 Community Crossing Paving Project.
At the approximate hour of 11 a.m. local time on June 14, 2021 all bids for this work will be opened and read aloud at Scottsburg City Hall, 2 East McClain Avenue, Scottsburg, Indiana 47170 in the common Council Chambers. The bids will then be taken under advisement until the awarding at the public City Council meeting on June 14th at 6:00 p.m.
The bidder must file with their sealed bid, a certified check, money order or surety bond in the amount equal to five (5%) percent of the total bid, payable to the City of Scottsburg. The above check or bid bond is to ensure the execution of the contract on which such bid is made.
All bids, unless otherwise specified, shall be considered a firm bid for the entire contract period (June 5th, 2021 to November 1, 2021). Bids shall be submitted on the prescribed forms with Form 96 and Non Collusion Affidavit and Proof of Liability Insurance.

Sealed bids will be received by the TOWN OF CROTHERSVILLE, acting by and through the TOWN BOARD (hereinafter referred to as “the Owner”), at 111 WEST HOWARD STREET, CROTHERSVILLE, IN 47229 until 10:00 AM local time, FRIDAY JUNE 25, 2021 for the construction of 2021-1 CCMG PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS for the TOWN OF CROTHERSVILLE. Bids received by the time and date specified will then be publicly opened and read aloud.
THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF A UNIT PRICE BID FOR HOT MIX ASPHALT SURFACE OVERLAYS OF EXISTING STREETS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN CROTHERSVILLE, INDIANA, AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS AND RELATED ITEMS.
After review and award of a contract, the Owner will provide a “Notice to Proceed” to the Contractor for the specific project. Contractor will then have 10 working days after said “Notice to Proceed” to commence construction and until November 30, 2021 to achieve Substantial Completion and December 17, 2021 to complete all work for the project. Contractor will be assessed $300.00 a day liquidated damages for any work remaining over and above either of the specified contract completion dates. The unnamed putative father of Samantha Leanne Grimm, the child born to Jessica Marie Grimm on October 15, 2008, or the person who claims to be the father of Samantha Leanne Grimm, is notified that a Petition for Adoption of the child was filed in the office of the Clerk of Scott Superior Court, Courthouse, Scottsburg, Indiana 47170.
If the unnamed putative father seeks to contest the adoption of the child, the unnamed putative father must file a motion to contest the adoption in accordance with IC § 31-19-10-1 in the above named court within thirty (30) days after service of this notice. This notice may be served by publication.
If the unnamed putative father does not file a motion to contest the adoption or a paternity action under IC § 31-14 within thirty (30) days after service of this notice; or after filing a paternity action under IC § 31-14 fails to establish paternity within a reasonable period as determined by the paternity court under IC § 31-14-21-1 through IC § 31-14-21-13, the above named court shall hear and determine the petition for adoption. The unnamed putative father’s consent is irrevocably implied, and the unnamed putative father loses the right to contest the adoption or the validity of the unnamed putative father’s implied consent to the adoption. The unnamed putative father loses the right to establish paternity of the child, by affidavit or otherwise, in Indiana or any other jurisdiction.

The unnamed putative father’s consent is irrevocably implied, and the unnamed putative father loses the right to contest the adoption or the validity of the unnamed putative father’s implied consent to the adoption. The unnamed putative father loses the right to establish paternity of the child under IC § 31-14.
Nothing Jessica Marie Grimm or anyone else says to the unnamed putative father relieves the unnamed putative father of his obligations under this notice.
Under Indiana law, a putative father is a person who is named as or claims that he may be the father of a child born out of wedlock but who has not yet been legally proven to be the child’s father.
