Legal Notice of Adoption of Preliminary Tax Abatement Resolution and Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the City of Scottsburg and Scott County, Indiana, that the City of Scottsburg Common Council on November 14, 2022, adopted a Preliminary Resolution designating as an Economic Revitalization Area (ERA) an area of land in Vienna Township described as follows:

Parcel Number 72-04-13-800-041.000-008– Approximately 57.16 acres of land located at 1010 Weir Rd., in Scottsburg, Indiana.

The ERA has been established for the purpose of achieving property-tax abatement in connection with redevelopment or rehabilitation activities. A description of the affected area and a copy of the Preliminary Resolution are available at the City of Scottsburg Clerk-Treasurer’s Office and the County Assessor’s office and can be inspected there during regular business hours.

On December 12, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall located at 2 E. McClain Ave., Scottsburg, IN 47170, the City of Scottsburg Common Council will conduct a public hearing to receive and to hear all remonstrances and objections, if any, to this project, and to take final action regarding the findings of the Preliminary Resolution and either to award or to deny property-tax abatements as requested.

LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Scottsburg Advisory Plan Commission will hold a public hearing regarding proposed amendments to the City of Scottsburg Comprehensive Plan pursuant to the provisions of Ind. Code § 36-7-4-507.  The hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers at Scottsburg City Hall, 2 McClain Avenue, Scottsburg, Indiana, on December 19, 2022, at 6:00 P.M.

Subsequent to the close of the public hearing, the Plan Commission may approve the amendments to the Comprehensive Plan pursuant to the provisions of Ind. Code § 36-7-4-508(a).  All approved amendments to the Comprehensive Plan will be certified to the Scottsburg City Council in accordance with Ind. Code § 36-7-4-508(b) are approved.  The City Council may then adopt a resolution approving, rejecting, or amending the Comprehensive Plan as certified by the Plan Commission pursuant to Ind. Code § 36-7-4-509(a).

The Comprehensive Plan, including all proposed amendments, is on file and available for public examination in its entirety during regular business hours at the office of the City of Scottsburg Planning & Zoning Department in City Hall located at 2 E. McClain Avenue, Scottsburg, Indiana 47170, (812) 722-1157.  Written comments delivered prior to the hearing to the Executive Director at the foregoing address, or by email to cboley@scottsburg.in.gov, will be read into the record of the hearing.  All interested persons are invited to attend and offer public comments regarding the proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan.  The Plan Commission may continue the hearing from time-to-time at its discretion.

Notice is hereby given that the City of Austin Redevelopment Commission (the “Commission) will receive electronic proposals/offers until 12:00 p.m. local time on December 7, 2022 for a public-private agreement to improve the utility infrastructure, stormwater system, and related improvements at and/or around Bowles Circle in the City of Austin, Indiana (the “City”) in a public-private partnership, pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Indiana Code, including, but not limited to, Indiana Code Section 5-23.
