NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE
CITY OF SCOTTSBURG, INDIANA
Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of the City of Scottsburg, Indiana, adopted Ordinance No. 2026-2 on June 8, 2026. The Ordinance is entitled: “AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE OPERATION, PARKING, AND ROUTING OF SEMI-TRUCKS AND COMMERCIAL VEHICLES WITHIN THE CITY OF SCOTTSBURG.”
The Ordinance establishes designated truck routes within the City, regulates the operation and parking of semi-trucks and commercial vehicles on local streets, provides exceptions for deliveries, emergency vehicles, and utilities, establishes enforcement procedures, and imposes civil penalties for violations.
The Ordinance provides for civil penalties ranging from One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) to One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per violation, with additional remedies including towing and impoundment where authorized by law.
A complete copy of Ordinance No. 2026-2 is available for public inspection and copying during regular business hours at the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer, Scottsburg City Hall, 821 S. Lake Rd., Scottsburg, Indiana.
This notice is published pursuant to Indiana Code § 5-3-1 and Indiana Code § 36-4-6.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS/QUALIFICATIONS FOR FIRE STATION EXPANSION PROJECT
Notice is hereby given that Posey Township, Washington County, Indiana (the “Township”) will receive proposals/offers for a public-private agreement to develop, design, and construct an expansion to the Township’s fire station, including the addition of three bays for trucks, a meeting room, a kitchen, and a storage room for records, pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Indiana Code, including, but not limited to, Indiana Code Section 5-23
Proposals in response to this RFPQ shall be received by the Township via e-mail at poseytwntrustee@gmail.com until 4:00 p.m. local time on June 24, 2026.
The detailed Request for Proposals and Qualifications (“RFPQ”) and related requirements, terms, and conditions may be obtained by emailing Ken Armstrong, Township Trustee, at poseytwntrustee@gmail.com.
Proposals/offers will be reviewed, and a recommendation to award the public-private agreement to a proposer/offeror will be given by the Township Trustee to the Township Advisory Board of the Township (the “Board”). The Board will then determine, after a public hearing, whether to accept or reject such recommendation.
Any potential proposer/offeror may inquire further for the purpose of clarification to assure a full understanding of the requirements by submitting written questions to the Township’s representative via email to Ken Armstrong, Township Trustee, at poseytwntrustee@gmail.com.
The Board reserves the right to reject and/or cancel any and all proposals/offers, to reject proposals/offers that do not meet the qualifications outlined in the RFPQ, and to waive any formalities or irregularities in the disposition process or in any proposal/offer. The Board further reserves the right to reject all proposals/offers, should the Board determine that the proposals/offers are not in the best interest of the Township. The Township Trustee reserves the right to have discussions with the proposers/offerors for the purpose of clarification to assure full understanding of and responsiveness to the solicitation requirements.
