This Friday, November 22, marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The Jackson County Community Theatre will mark the event by producing its first ever History Lecture Series, beginning with the Life of John F. Kennedy at the royal Off The Square Theatre.
The presentation will feature a discussion along with video about the childhood, rise to power, presidency, and untimely demise of the 35th president of the United States.
The presentation will be given by JCCT board member Darin Richart.
Richart has a bachelor’s degree in history and pre-law from Northern Kentucky University. Concentrating in US history with an emphasis on the Kennedy administration, Richart is currently seeking his master’s degree in history at the University of Louisville.
The presentation is free to the public. Goodwill donations to the theatre will be welcome.
The event will be around an hour long and will begin at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
