Scott County Board of Commissioners approved the use of the courthouse for the celebration of life for Devonnia Tscheulin at their regular meeting on July 17.
Tscheulin was a paramedic for Scott County EMS that lost her life due to complications from child birth last year.
The life celebration will be Thursday, August 15, at 7 p.m., the anniversary of her death
Her husband, Michael Tscheulin, wrote on a Facebook post, “This is not a memorial but a celebration of Devonnia’s life and about how her children have been so strong and never failed but have fought through a very tough year since their mom’s death.”
A road dedication in honor of the late paramedic will take place on August 5 at 1468 Scott Valley Drive, Scottsburg, in front of the Scott County EMS station, the commissioners’ announced.
