Twenty-five soon-to-be kindergarten students at Crothersville Elementary took part in ‘Jump Start’, a 3-week school readiness program this summer.
The program, organized locally by Janice Read of the Jackson County Child Care Network, provided social skills, motor skills and rules which the new kindergarten students would need to know to help them begin their school career.
Students completing the program, along with teachers, aides, and administrators, received “I’m Ready For Kindergarten” t-shirts.
