Jackson County Invasive Partnership is holding its third annual native plant sale.
A seed mix containing, butterfly weed, foxglove. Coreopsis, and Prairie Blazing Star is available for $4 per seed pack.
Native shrubs available include Prairie Rose, New Jersey Tea shrub, Ninebark, Elderberry, Buttonbush, Allegheny Serviceberry for $20 per plant. Native trees available include Redbud, Flowering Dogwood, and Black Gum for $23 per plant.
Orders can be placed before Sept. 15 at the Jackson County soil & Water Conservation District office at 1350 Woodside Drive in Brownstown. Payment by check or cash must be made at the time of placing an order.
Order pickup will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28, at Starve Hollow Lake offices. Seeds need to be planted Dec. 1 through Feb. 28 in order to go through a cold period stratification for germination.
