Two Seymour residents charged in connection with a February armed robbery in that city were arrested earlier this month in Scottsburg by Scott County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Deputy Johnney Coomer arrested Hunter Anthony Coomer, 19, of Seymour and Max Regan Caudill, 18, of Seymour, in connection with an armed robbery in Seymour in February.
Deputy Coomer was patrolling through the Scottsburg when he observed Hunter Coomer (a distant cousin to the deputy) and Max Caudill at a convenience store, armed with court warrants out of Jackson County he took them into custody and impounded their vehicle.
A search warrant for the vehicle was obtained by Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies, resulted in the recovery of a stolen handgun, suspected marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, all concealed inside the vehicle, according to Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin..
Coomer and Caudill were incarcerated March 4 in Scott County jail and extradited to Jackson County to face multiple charges there.
Coomer is charged with robbery, intimidation, pointing a firearm. He is being held in Jackson County Jail on a $5,005 bond.
Caudill is charged with robbery and being held on a $2,005 bond.
Assisting Coomer at the scene were Deputy Andy Brown and Reserve Officer Steve Frey of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, and Scottsburg City Police Officers Trevis Burr and Channing Collins.
