Two rural Washington County residents were arrested last Wednesday, Sept. 4, on felony drug dealing charges following an investigation by the Indiana State Police Sellersburg Post All Crimes Policing squad.
According to ISP Sgt. Carey Huls, the investigation began in August when Trooper Kyle Taylor received information of possible drug activity in the 11000 block of Smith Road in southern Gibson Township near the Washington-Scott County line.
Trooper Taylor obtained a search warrant for the address. On Wednesday, Trooper Taylor and other members of the Sellersburg ACP squad went to the residence and during the search located suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, cash, marijuana, and a firearm.
Arrested were Stephen G. Cole, 61, Scottsburg on felony charges of dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, maintaining a common nuisance, three counts of possession of a legend drug, and misdemeanor charges of cultivating marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of dug paraphernalia. He is being held on Washington County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond.
Also arrested was Tina Albertson, 57, of the same address on felony charges of dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of syringe, three counts of possession of a legend drug, and maintaining a common nuisance, and misdemeanor charges of cultivation marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held in Washington County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond.
