Olivia Tucker

Scott County native Olivia Tucker, has been named as a summer intern reporter at the Crothersville Times, editor & publisher Curt Kovener announced this week. She began her reporting work with this issue.

Tucker was one of 10 college seniors throughout the state of Indiana selected for the Pulliam Internship through the Hoosier State Press Association.

Tucker is a graduate of Austin High School class of 2013 and has an Associates degree in journalism through Vincennes University. She has completed degree work and is expected to graduate this coming December with an Associates degree in graphic design with photography concentration.

She has written for the award winning student papers The Trailblazer at Vincennes University and Indiana Statesman at Indiana State University. Her time on The Trailblazer, she was a part of the staff that was awarded best section for the Indiana Collegiate Press Association in 2020.

“I am excited to be reporting on the community that I’ve grown up in all my life,” said Tucker. “I appreciate this opportunity to be able to be an intern reporter with the Crothersville Times.”
