Hamacher Hall will be the site of an ice cream social for Crothersville area residents, friends, and supporters. The annual event is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, July 11, from 2-4 p.m., and will include ice cream, toppings, cookies, tea, and lemonade. There is no charge for this event, but donations are gratefully accepted.
Hamacher Hall is the home of the Crothersville Town Players, and the project of the Crothersville Historical and Cultural Arts Association. The former Presbyterian Church, it has been renamed Hamacher Hall in honor of town founder, John Hamacher.
The Association exists to promote interest and knowledge of Crothersville History and to promote participation and enjoyment of the arts among Crothersville area residents. All donations are tax deductible, and funds are used for maintenance and improvements to the properties. In addition to events for the current year, the group is planning events for the upcoming Indiana and Jackson County Bicentennial of 2016, and welcomes suggestions from the community.
