Jackson County History Center in Brownstown will celebrate Jackson County Heritage Days September 9 – 11. All of the museums, log cabins, and Genealogy Library will be open.
They center will be serving their famous Beans and Cornbread and pork burgers with the secret sauce all three days.
There will be the dedication of the cabin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. The cabin was donated by the Brownstown Community School Corporation and for many years was located at the Brownstown Elementary School.
Hours of the celebration are Friday, September 9, 5 p.m. to dusk, Saturday, September 10, 8 a.m. to dusk, and Sunday, September 11, noon to 4 p.m.
The History Center is looking for food vendors, hand crafted demonstrators with items for sale, and music. They are hoping to schedule entertainment on the stage for Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday.
