The 54th annual and longest continually running festival in Jackson County, Fort Vallonia Days, will swell the streets of with people this weekend. Oct. 21-22.
Centered around the location of the original fort—the original center of government in Jackson County—the festival operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
There will be demonstrations of spinning, quilting, braiding rugs, model steam & old gas engine display, handmade articles & crafts, free entertainment, plenty of food, flea market and craft booths.

9 a.m.: Mick Gray Memorial Trail Ride (State Riding Permit Required)
9 a.m.: Wes Hartley Memorial Muzzle Loading Shoot
9:30 a.m.: Little Mister and Little Miss Winners Announced
10:30 a.m.: Pumpkin Decorating Contest Winners Announced
11 a.m.: Southern Indiana Cloggers
Noon: Live Music with Band u4ia
1 p.m.: Parade
2 p.m.: Tomahawk & Knife Throw
2 p.m.: Live Music with Band u4ia
3 p.m.: Dancing with TAPP’D Seymour
4 p.m.: Western Dancing with the Country Kickers
5 p.m.: Karaoke with Tee Jay Entertainment
