The 55th annual Fort Vallonia Days festival will be this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19 & 20, starting at 9 a.m. each day.
The fall festival is known for its large crowds, pioneer crafts, spinning, quilting, braiding rugs, model steam and old gas engines, free entertainment, live music, great food, and free parking.

The festival is located in the community of Vallonia, Jackson County’s first settlement, about five miles south of Brownstown on State Road 135.
