The Crothersville-Vernon Township Volunteer Fire Department have a day long festival of food and fun planned for this Saturday, Sept. 3.
The event will be held at the fire station from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and feature fried fish along with activities for young and old.
A bounce house, relay races, and a waterball fight will be available for the youngsters at the fire station. For adults there will be a waterball fight at the teachers’ parking lot at the school.
Area residents got a taste of the wet & wild push of war at this year’s Red, White & Blue Festival. The fire department will hold another weekend battle on Saturday of Labor Day weekend for both adults and youngsters
There will also be live music featuring Crothersville native Rick Wilson.
In addition to firemen’s frind fish sandwiches, ice cream served throughout the day.
“We are committed to our community in more ways than fighting fires, working vehicle accidents, and assisting on medical calls,” said the event organizer Jason Hillenburg. “This weekend’s fun event is a chance for us to give back to the community and show our appreciation for your support for so many years.”
Except for fish sandwiches, drinks, ice cream, and adult waterball, all events are free.
