There will be traffic and crowds converge on the Greater Crothersville area this Saturday for the semi-annual Community-Wide Yard Sales.
The twice-yearly community yard sale is sponsored by the Crothersville Times. An ad listing the locations of sales submitted to the newspaper can be found on page 6 of the print edition.
The school greenhouse will open for vegetable and bedding plant sales and offer some early bird specials.
In addition to shopping for bargains, there are plenty of organizations offering food throughout the day.
The Crothersville First Baptist Church will be serving a breakfast this Saturday during the Crothersville Community Yard Sales. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Cost is a free will donation. On the menu will be Scrambled Eggs, Pancakes, Biscuits, Sausage Gravy and sausage links.
The Crothersville FFA will be serving their world famous porkburgers for lunch. Shoppers should look for the barbecue smoke from the grills on the south end of the school.
The Tri-County Conservation Club will be frying fish from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Later in the day the Scott Masonic Lodge in Austin will be holding a steak fry. The lodge is located just north of the Dairy Queen in Austin.
