Five people were arrested Friday afternoon on a variety of drug and child neglact charges. Indina State Police along with the Scott County Division of Family and Children went to 699 North Hyland Street in Scottsburg after receiving a tip of reported illegal drug activity in the home containing small children.
After an investigation police located controlled substances as well as drug paraphernalia in the home. As a result. five people were incarcerated in the Scott County Jail.
Those arrested included:
•Jeramy L Smith, 25, of Scottsburg, charged with maintaining a common nuisance, neglect of a dependant, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.
•Ashley D. Harbold, 21, of Scottsburg, charged with maintaining a common nuisance, neglect of a dependant, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.
•Ryan L. Smith, 29, of Scottsburg, charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia.
•John Hawn, 24, of Scottsburg, charged with Visiting a common nuisance, possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of paraphernalia, neglect of a dependant.
•Jessica Hawn, 23, of Scottsburg charged with neglect of a dependant, and visiting a common nuisance.
