The Crothersville FFA is hosting the annual Veterans’ Day Program on November 11 at 11 a.m. in the high school main gym and is seeking the community’s assistance to make this year’s observance unique.
“We are going to be having a wall of veterans and we need Crothersville area veterans or families to send or email pictures of family members, friends and even neighbors that have served in the military,” said FFA Advisor Linda Maxie.
Residents can mail a picture to the school at 109 N. Preston St. or via email to misenhower@crothersville.k12.in.us.
“If you are sending in a picture please make sure that there is a return address available,: said Maxie. “We are going to scan the picture and send the original back to you.”
“Our wall is going to be in the hallway from the front library to the front of the 9th and 10th grade lockers, then on the day of the program we are going to move the pictures into the gym for everyone to see,” she said. “We look forward to seeing how many pictures that we can get so that we can educate our student body as to how many from our community are involved in the military, now or in the past.”
