The Crothersville Lions Club Red White & Blue Festival held their March meeting last week with several new and returning events planned for the June 11-13 festival.
•If there is an interest there could be a Waterball Tourney return to the festival. Residents wishing to form waterball teams should let the fire department know of your interest now. Call the department at 793-3473 and leave a message to let them know you want to participate and will be entering a team and want the waterball back again at the festival.
•Friday night has been designated CHS Class Reunion Night, plans are still in the works and more information will be available shortly.
•CARD has been working on Kids Saturday and have planned a lot of fun games and demonstrations. The activities will be held from 10 to 2. They are also planning a Pet and Person Walk.
•On May 30, the Festival will be sponsoring a Pancake Breakfast at Applebee’s in Seymour. Tickets will be available the first of May.
•The group is planning to have a designated flea market area with a cost to set up of just $10 a day.
•The next RWB meeting is April 23, at 6:30 p.m. at the fire station. “We encourage the community to attend and help with the 34th festival,” said festival director Sherry Bridges. “Warm bodies are needed!”
