The town of Crothersville has begun its fall leaf collection for residents inside the town limits. Residents should rake their leaves to the curb or ditchline making sure that drainage is not blocked.
A call to town hall at 812-793-2311 will get residents on a list to have town workers vacuum up the leaves Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
The City of Austin will begin leaf collection the week of Nov. 7 and will be collected Monday through Friday until Dec. 9.
Residents should rake their leaves to the front ditchline making sure they do not impede the flow of water.
There will be do limb pick during this time frame but will resume on Dec. 15.
Austin City officials emphasized that there is to be no burning of leaves inside the city limits.
The City of Scottsburg will announce their fall leaf collection schedule in a few weeks, it was reported.
