Two out-of-county men were arrested in separate incidents on Thursday, July 1, by Scott County Deputies on a variety of charges involving threats, violence and drugs.
Deputies Skylar Thompson, Johnney Coomer and Jessica Dickey responded to a report in Scottsburg of a driver in a vehicle displaying a handgun as he passed another vehicle Thursday evening. Deputy Thompson located the reported vehicle made a traffic stop.
His investigation led to the arrest of John Spicer, 33, of Jasper for pointing a loaded firearm, carrying a handgun without a permit, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
Later that night, Deputies Coomer, Thompson, John Smith and Todd Hooker responded to a residence in rural Scott County on a report of a disturbance. Their investigation led to the arrest of Dillon Youngblood, 29, of Madison for domestic battery, battery, disorderly conduct, intimidation toward a court officer, resisting law enforcement and criminal mischief.
Both were lodged in the Scott County Jail
