On Saturday, Sept. 11, Deputies Charlie Morgan and Zach Brown responded to a residence on a report of a possible overdose. When they arrived they spoke with Dawn Price, 39, of Austin. Price was evaluated was evaluated by Scott County EMS and she declined any treatment. The deputies discovered Price with dugs and she was charged with possession of a narcotic drug and maintaining a common nuisance.
That same day, Deputy Morgan made a traffic stop in Austin. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Daniel Abner, 35, of Austin. Morgan continued to speak with him and the deputy’s investigation led to the arrest of Abner for dealing in narcotic drugs, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a narcotic drug, and possession of paraphernalia.
Scott County Sheriff’s Deputies went to 20 Vintage Circle in Scottsburg last Tuesday, Sept. 14 around 8:30 a.m. to serve a search warrant. As a result, three people were arrested and what is believed to be heroin and drug paraphernalia were located.
Matthew Palmer, 28, of Scottsburg, was arrested for dealing in a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He currently remains incarcerated in Scott county Jail after Circuit Court Judge Jason Mount set his bond at $250,000 cash bond.
Briana Bowman, 28, of Scottsburg, was arrested for dealing in a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $25,000 and she remains in Scott County Jail.
Owner of the residence, Cynthia Doty, 54, of Scottsburg, was arrested for maintaining a common nuisance. Bond was set at $15,000 which she posted and was released from Scott County Jail at 3:30 p.m. pending her next court appearance.
