The 4th annual Dinner on the Medora Covered Bridge in Jackson County is scheduled for this Saturday, Aug. 2, at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 each and are limited. The meal will again be catered by Ladonna Mitchell’s “Country Cookin'” of Salem and the menu will be: fried chicken and ham, scalloped potatoes, corn, green beans, broccoli salad, grape salad, hot rolls, home made pies, iced tea, lemonade and water.
The dinner is organized by the Friends of the Medora Covered Bridge. All proceeds are for the continual upkeep, maintenance and promotion of the bridge and surrounding grounds.
Large fans for air circulation in case the weather does not cooperate will be available and entertainment will be provided.
Terry Miller, the author of the new book: America’s Covered Bridges will be there and will sign autographs.
