An investigation that began in early January, concluded last Wednesday with the arrest of two Austin cousins for dealing drugs, according to Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin.

A search warrant was served at 1147 N. Bond Street, Apartment #4 in Austin led by deputies of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Lt. Charles Morgan, officers seized a quantity of suspected Fentanyl pills, Lidocaine, drug paraphernalia, and cash, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Arrested at the scene were Ossie H. White, 47, of the Bond Street address in Austin charged with three courts of dealing narcotic drugs, possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining common nuisance, and obstruction of justice.

Nicholas L. White, 49, of the same address was charged with possession of narcotic drugs, possession of legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Both were incarcerated in Scott County Jail. On Friday, Scott Circuit Court Magistrate Alison T. Frazier sent Nicholas L. White’s bond at $15,000. Ossie H. White has yet to have his first court appearance and remains incarcerated.

“The drug Fentanyl has killed citizens in our county, as it has across the country, said Goodin. “Drug dealers in Scott County have been and will continue to be targeted by our determined Sheriff’s Deputies as we rid our community of these killer criminals.”

“Pack your bags and leave or bring your toothbrush for your stay in the Scott County Jail because we will find you,” warned the sheriff.
