Denise Maxie of the Crothersville FFA Chapter was one of 3,578 National FFA members who received the American FFA Degree at the 86th National FFA Convention last Saturday in Louisville, KY. The American Degree is the highest degree a FFA member can achieve and this year, only one in 156 of the 557,318 members advanced to this level of accomplishment.
Dr. Steve Brown, National FFA Advisor, said, “Achieving this goal requires years of hard work and commitment. You have earned the respect and honor from your peers, friends, and family, as well as the leaders and mentors before you that inspired you to earn this degree.”
Maxie is a junior studying child development with a minor in psychology at Purdue University in West Lafayette. She is the daughter of Linda Maxie of rural Austin and Dennis Maxie of rural Crothersville.
