The Crothersville Town Players will present ‘Purely Poetry’ in a Dinner Theater at Hamacher Hall this weekend Friday and Saturday, Nov. 6 and 7. Doors will open at 6:00, with dinner beginning at 6:30, followed by the entertainment.
Purely Poetry includes a readers theater presentation of a short play, “Just a Poem, Please,” followed by selections of the poetry of James Whitcomb Riley. Participating are Brayden Growe, Linda Seals, Eunice Lacey, Kimberly Mains, Sandy Law, Jesse Law, and Brenda Holzworth.
Cost for the dinner and theater is $15.
On the evening’s menu will be tossed salad, chicken, macaroni and cheese, roll, drink, and dessert.
Proceeds are used for improving, repairing, and maintaining Hamacher Hall (the former Presbyterian Church) and the annex building. The facility is named after John Hamacher, the founder of Crothersville.
Hamacher Hall is located at 211 E. Howard Street in Crothersville.
