The Crothersville Town Players will host their first Dinner Theater of the season on Friday, Sept. 30, featuring humorous skits by the Town Players and piano music performed by Janet (Emily) Manger, formerly of Crothersville. “Janet has performed for the Crothersville Senior Citizens, who greatly enjoyed her music and humor,” said spokeswoman Brenda Holzworth.
The event will take place at Hamacher Hall, 211 East Howard Street, at 6 p.m., with a dinner of fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes & gravy, tossed salad, roll, drinks, and dessert. The cost for the dinner and theater is $15. For reservations, please call Linda Seals at 812-521-3695.
The Crothersville Town Players are a part of the Crothersville Historical and Cultural Arts Association. Hamacher Hall has handicap access, and a restroom is available in the Annex Building next door, both improvements made possible by grants, donations, and fundraisers.
The Association emphasizes interest and participation in the performing and other arts and in local history for Crothersville area residents and other interested individuals. The group also encourages interested individuals to become members of the Association. Adult, Youth, and Family memberships are available. And of course, donations are always welcome.
