The Crothersville Senior Citizens will begin meeting three times a week at the Crothersville First Baptist Church, 305 E Howard St., (entrance off Main Street) for senior meals and activities, according to local senior spokesperson Patti Hargrove.

Earlier this summer the local senior citizen organization opted to sell its traditional building on Main Street noting that the cost of repairs and maintenance was too much for the local budget.

The local seniors will be meeting Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-6 p.m. “We’ll be offering a meal along with senior social activities such as card games, board games, puzzles, and conversation,” said Hardgrove.

The thrice a week gatherings are open to all those age 50 and over.
