The 35th annual Crothersville Lions Club Red, White & Blue Festival is gearing up for a flag waving salute to our nation/s flag and veterans. As always, the festival is the second weekend in June—this year June 10-12—held on the school grounds.
“The festival committee has been meeting and planning another family fun filled festival,” said chairman Sherry Bridges. “Fiesta Carnival will return again with rides and games.”
“The festival Talent Show will be changed back to the original rules as in the beginning,” she said. “And we’ve also be discussing a motorcycle and car show.
The antique farm machinery show is getting notable attention from all over the state, she said. Kevin Hoevener is the chairman of the even and anticipates possibly doubling the number of entries from last year.
The RWB committee will meet tomorrow (Thursday), Feb. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Crothersville Library.
“I encourage everyone to take part in your community festival,” said Bridges. “Nothing would please the committee more than to have a room full of folks excited to help with the 35th celebration.”
