April is Crothersville History Month and will be observed at Hamacher Hall this Saturday, April 29, from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be displays of Crothersville history, artifacts and tour of the former Presbyterian Church which is being preserved as a Crothersville Historic Landmarks facility because of its Gothic Architecture.

Anyone having Crothersville history items may bring them for display for the day.

Spaghetti, breadsticks, cookies, lemonade, tea and water will be available for a $5.00 donation as a fundraiser to help with upkeep of the building.

Local historic photos and artifacts will be on display this Saturday at Hamacher Hall in an observance of Crothersville History Month.

This photo of the Crothersville Fruit Canning Company was taken in 1905. The industry employed men and women to prepare and preserve Jackson & Scott County orchard’s produce.

The wooden structure, located on the south side of East Main Street across from the present day post office, burned in 1911.
