Seven members of the Crothersville FFA Chapter traveled to West Lafayette last week to attend the 79th Indiana FFA State Convention on the Purdue University campus. Members attended sessions, competed in leadership contests, heard from motivational speakers, and met other FFA members from across the state.
Brittany Collings and Cody Brasher received the Hoosier Farmer Degree. Erica Doyle and Bailey Lundy served as the chapter’s voting delegates.
Dillon Maxie participated in the state Exhibit contest and received 2nd place. Leah Schill participated in the Freshman Prepared Public Speaking contest. Brittany Collings and Bailey Lundy participated in the Food Science demonstration. Dillon Maxie, Brooke Prather, Joey Needler, and Leah Schill performed with the Indiana FFA State Chorus.
The Crothersville chapter was honored with a Superior Chapter rating. Others attending the convention were Beth and Trenton Collings and chapter advisor, Linda Maxie.
