Crothersville Elementary School has been selected as one of 12 Get Your Teach On collaboration sites in Indiana to receive free professional development training and support throughout the 2023-24 school year.
Get Your Teach On (GYTO) specializes in professional development and encouragement for educators and administrators in the form of conferences, workshops and events. GYTO conferences are known for their passionate celebration of teachers and their ability to inspire life-long learners. Founded in 2016, GYTO now hosts National and Regional Conferences, Virtual Conferences, school and district trainings, and additional events for a wide variety of educators and school administrators each year. GYTO also provides free resources, teacher-focused merchandise, and is the parent organization for the worldwide Rock Your School initiative which encourages out of the box teaching
In collaboration with Get Your Teach On and the Indiana Department of Education, the program is designed to enhance the professional development of Crothersville’s teachers as they gain access to professional development opportunities led by education experts, promote resource sharing, foster a collaborative community and encourage innovation.
The Crothersville Collaboration Site is designed to:
•Enhance Professional Development: GYTO Collaboration Site teachers will gain exclusive access to cutting-edge professional development opportunities led by top educational experts, enabling them to stay at the forefront of teaching methodologies and pedagogical advancements.
•Promote Resource Sharing: This collaboration will facilitate the exchange of teaching resources, curriculum materials, and best practices among educators, ensuring that students at the Collaboration Sites receive a high-quality education that fosters their growth and success.
•Foster a Collaborative Community: The Collaboration Sites will become part of a dynamic community of educators committed to sharing knowledge, expertise, and experiences. This network will provide continuous support for teachers in their quest for excellence.
•Encourage Innovation: The program will encourage innovative teaching approaches, making learning more engaging and relevant for students.
