Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 38-year-old Cortland woman for dealing fentanyl on Friday afternoon, June 28. Ashley Dawn Francia of the 6600 block of North Mill St. in Cortland is facing a level 3 felony charge of dealing in a narcotic drug.
Deputies Justin Amos, Aaron Wilkins and Dustin Stewart went to Francia’s home near the Cortland Elementary School where deputies had been making undercover buys of fentanyl for several months, they reported.
When they arrived Francia gave the officers permission to search her residence. Officers located drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and prescription pills, along with a quantity of fentanyl.
She was booked in to the Jackson County Jail at 1:50 p.m.
