
Last Thursday, Feb. 5, representatives of Conco, Inc., the U.S. Department of War, and One Southern Indiana held a ribbon cutting at Conco’s expanded facility at 1010 West Weir Road on Scottsburg’s westside to celebrate the local manufacturer’s new 155mm Modular Artillery Charge System (“MACS”) Metal Container Facility.
This new Scottsburg location was originally announced in 2023 and was quickly followed by a major expansion in 2024. Together, these investments will result in a 470,000 square feet, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with advanced production, finishing, and storage capabilities for ammunition containers for the U.S. military.
The combined projects will expand Conco’s presence into Southern Indiana and will support a wide range of skilled roles, including Production Team Members, Quality Technicians, Welders, Paint Technicians, Process Technicians, Controls Technicians, Tool & Die, Industrial Maintenance, Electricians, Engineering and Administration.
