The past weekend’s 39th Crothersville Red, White & Blue Festival was “Spectacular,” according to festival director Sherry Bridges. “The weather was perfect, we had a record crowd on Thursday evening. Food vendors expressed that sales were up from years past. The carnival bragged on our town. Everything was near perfect,” she said.
“The fireworks were a huge hit,” she said. “Crowds lined up 3 rows deep along the caution tape behind the elementary and the parking lot was full. Folks had laid blankets out and lined up their lawn chairs starting about 9 p.m. Residents from as far away as Bethany Road sent word in that they could see them.”
Zambelli Fireworks told us it was an honor to come to a small town who shows their patriotism and they are looking forward to return next year, Bridges said.
“It was an amazing festival,” Bridges concluded, “The festival committee did a great job this year.”
