The Scott County Board of Commissioners approved price increases of the SASCO bag fee and the transfer station fees at their regular meeting on June 7.
The increase for the bags and stickers is $1.50, effective immediately upon the ordinance’s passing.
The fee changes for the transfer station include a compact truck with debris that is below the bed is $25 (up from $22.50), a compact truck with debris above the bed is $40, a full-size pickup with debris that is not the top of the bed is $35 (up from $30.75), a full-size truck with debris above the bed is $55, a 7×10 dump trailer is $50, a 7×14 dump trailer is $75, 7×16 dump trailer is $90, 7×20 dump trailer is $100, a single axle dump truck up to half a ton is $70, a single axle dump truck up to 2 tons is $175 and barrels are $15 (up from $6).
Commissioner President Mike Jones said that new signs would have to be approved with updates of the new prices for the transfer station before the prices are raised. The discussion of the new signs will take place at a different meeting and go to the council for approval, said Jones.
The commissioners approved unanimously both the SASCO fee and transfer station rate increases.
