Crothersville Choir Students won 13 Gold, 2 Silver medals when they competed in the District Indiana State School Music Association District contest held Jan. 26 at Floyd Central High School.
Singing Still wie die Nacht, Savannah Wooten won a gold medal in Division 1 and will be competing this Saturday, Feb. 16, in the ISSMA State competition at Perry Meridian High School.
Other CHS Choral students winning awards were:
Gold Medal in Division V: Jeremiah Wooten, Heather Garrison, Mackenzie Parish, Samantha Rose.
Gold Medal in Division IV: Deven Lemen, Derrick Maxie, Kaitlyn Silvers, Cheyenne Madden.
Silver Medal in Division III: Benjamin Plummer.
Gold Medal in Division III: Alexandra Smith, Alisha Basil, Tornado Boldery, Kacie Calhoun.
Silver Medal in Division II: Shelby Steward.
The Crothersville Choral Department is under the direction of Peggy Adams who was accompanist for the students. Assisting with the competition were Dawn & Todd Wooten.
