In an effort to increase housing and improve the quality of neighborhoods, the Austin Redevelopment Commission is hoping to sell 25 properties to owner-occupants or developers, according to a legal notice found on page 5 of this week’s Crothersville Times.
Minimum prices range from $4,500 to a high of $11,125. Many of the parcels are vacant lots ready for new home construction.
The properties are being sold with conditions.
•Bidders must affirm that they have become familiar with and are aware of the present conditions of the real estate being offered for sale.
•Written offers must be submitted with all information required. Offers that are not complete with respect to the information required may be rejected.
•Each offer must contain a completed Cover Sheet and Proposal Form. Only bids utilizing the approved cover sheet and proposal form will be accepted. Failure to use the provided cover sheet template and proposal form will disqualify the bidder. Proper forms are available at the Mayor’s Office in City Hall located at 82 W. Main St.
Written sealed offers to purchase will be received until noon on Friday, June 23.
Proposals will be publicly opened and considered at a regular meeting of the Redevelopment Commission to be held at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, at Austin City Hall.
