Austin Elementary School will hold a back-to-school bash from 4-6 p.m. in the Elementary School parking lot on Wednesday, July 31.
There will be free school supplies provided by Duke Energy, thanks to the electric company’s $10,000 contribution. Students can meet teachers and school staff and visit classrooms.
Students and their family will be treated to hotdogs, dinks and chips.
Our community appreciates the generosity of Duke Energy,” said Sherry Fugate, principal of Austin Elementary School. “We look forward to the Back to School Bash and welcoming our students back to school for the 2024-2025 school year equipped with supplies provided by this partnership with Duke Energy.”
Social service providers will be in attendance. Duke Energy will also have representatives on-site to offer information on electric bill management programs, energy assistance funds and energy assistance programs, and to answer billing questions. If you have questions about your account, please bring your bill or account information.
