On Sunday, Feb. 17, Indiana State Police Troopers Kyle Taylor and Tyler Matthew, along with Austin City Police, went to 44 Rural Street in Austin around 6:30 p.m. after receiving an anonymous tip about possible drug activity at that address.
During the course of the officers’ investigation, consent was given for a search of the residence, and as a result of the search Troopers located over 18 grams of methamphetamine along with marijuana, syringes, and paraphernalia.
Three people at that residence were incarcerated in Scott County Jail on a variety of charges.
Gilbert Sizemore, 40, of Austin, was charged with dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of syringe, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.
Charly Young, 22, and Elizabeth Hardcastle, 26, both of Austin face felony charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, maintaining a common nuisance.
