The 15th Annual Jackson County Antique Machinery Show will be held June 7-8 at the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Brownstown.
The annual event focuses on the area’s roots in agriculture and has demonstrations and displays of early agriculture methods and farm life, said Gary Needler, a local spokesman for the organizers. The event, hosted by the Jackson County Antique Machinery Association, is a non-profit association to provide this area with an antique farm related show and swap meet. There will be numerous displays of tractors, engines and equipment with live demonstrations throughout the show.
This year the event will feature Massey Harris, Ferguson, and Ford Tractors as well as Michigan Built Engines.
Admission to the show is $2.00 with veterans admitted free on Friday.
The event opens at 8 a.m. both days with daily demonstrations of vintage antique machinery, hit and miss engines, antique tractors, basket weaving, jewelry making, blacksmith demonstrations, kids pedal pull along with swap meet vendors, tools, antiques, tractor, engine parts, and yard sale items.
There will be a free ham and bean dinner at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
