AISIN Drivetrain (ADI) and AISIN Chemical (ACIN) officials were expected to announce growth plans at the Crothersville Town Council meeting Tuesday evening, Sept. 2, totaling nearly $40 million in investment which also could create nearly 50 new jobs.

ADI officials announced new investment in manufacturing equipment of approximately $35,890,000 to support new business activity, and the investment is expected to create 45 jobs with an average annual wage of $62,400.

These expansions will accommodate adding a production line for Mazda Skyactiv-Drive automatic transmissions that would be found in the CX-50 & CX-30 SUVs.

The project is expected to begin in later this month and continue until the end of 2026.

The officials also stated that an announcement of additional investment as part of the project might be forthcoming before the end of the year or in early 2026.

ACIN plans to invest around $3,233,229 for the purchase of a new mixer that will be used for the production of liquid applied sound dampening product.

The investment will be made before the end of the year, and will result in the creation of three new positions with wages that will average more than $66,000 annually, officials said.
