Adams Family Funeral Homes and Adams Adventures announce its remaining day trips for 2015. This is a monthly community activity and outreach program created to bring people together in fun fellowship to experience new places, try new things and meet new people.
On Friday, Sept. 11 will be a trip to Story, Indiana to have lunch at the historic Story Inn and Tavern. Then we will head into Nashville to enjoy an afternoon of browsing the shops (at your own pace). Tickets are $25 and include lunch and transportation. Paid RSVP by September 7. Pick up times are the following: Henryville 9 a.m., Scottsburg 9:20 a.m., Crothersville 9:45 a.m. Return approximately 6 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 9, is a trip on My Old Kentucky Dinner Train. It departs out of Bardstown, KY and is a 37 mile round trip excursion that lasts approximately 2 1/2 hours. The trip includes a 3 course meal. Restrooms are available in each car and the train is air conditioned and/or heated for climate comfort. Tickets are $80 and include transportation, meal, tax, gratuity and train ride. Tickets are limited but still available. Paid RSVP by September 4. Pick up times are the following: Crothersville 9 a.m., Scottsburg 9:20 a.m., Henryville 9:40 a.m. Return approximately 5:30 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 13, will take us to Simpsonville and Shelbyville, KY. We will begin with lunch at the Claudia Sanders Dinner House where we will enjoy southern hospitality and cooking. After lunch, we will travel a few miles back to The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass. This may be the perfect time to start some early holiday shopping. Ticket: $6 for transportation. Lunch will be “Dutch Treat”. Paid RSVP by November 2. Pick up times: Crothersville 9 a.m., Scottsburg 9:20 a.m., Henryville 9:45 a.m. Return approximately 6 p.m.
Friday, Dec, 9, begins with an early dinner at King Fish in Jeffersonville. Then we plan to put you in the Christmas spirit by touring through the MEGA Cavern’s Lights Under Louisville. Ticket: $9 includes transportation and Mega Cavern entrance. King Fish meal will be “Dutch Treat”. Paid RSVP by November 18.
