By a 2-1 vote Tuesday night, the Crothersville Town Council appointed 20-year Crothersville Police Department veteran Vurlin McIntosh as the town’s new chief of police effective April 1. Since long time chief Norman Ford doesn’t officially retire until March 31 but is off on vacation, the council named McIntosh the town’s acting chief until April 1.
Council members Bill Nagle and Karen Mains voted in favor of McIntosh; council president Ardell Mitchell voted “no” on the appointment.
