Humane Society of Jackson County will sponsor the Dog Days Dog Show on Saturday, August 25, at the Keach Parking Lot at the corner of Fourth and Walnut Streets in downtown. Jackson County Bank and Jackson-Jennings Farm and Pet are co-sponsoring the event.
Registration will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. with judging immediately following at approximately 9:15 a.m.
Trophies will be awarded in 12 categories. There is a $2 entry fee per dog and owners may enter their dog in up to two categories.
Categories: Most hair, Least hair, Longest tail, Shortest tail, Biggest dog, Smallest dog, Best dressed dog, Most unique dog, Longest ears, Dog most resembling owner, Precious puppy (6 months or younger) and Best rescue story.
All dogs must be on a leash and watering stations and shady areas will be available. Door prizes will be given away. There will be dog supply and information booths available.
