Indiana Conservation Officers arrested a Scottsburg woman in Scott County for numerous drug offenses late Thursday night, August 9. Stacy Holbrook, age 29, was charged with dealing and possession of methamphetamine, possession of precursors, possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a common nuisance, and dumping a controlled substance waste.
Around 9 p.m. Thursday, an Indiana Conservation Officer received a complaint from a landowner of illegal dumping near Scottsburg. Evidence at the dump site off Boatman Road led the conservation officers to Holbrook’s address on Curtsinger Drive in Scottsburg.
During the investigation, authorities learned that a possible meth lab was present at the dump site. Members of the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Response Team responded, along with the Scott County Sheriff’s Department.
It was confirmed that remnants of a meth lab were present at the dump site and subsequent search of Holbrook’s residence revealed additional components of a meth lab. Additional evidence, including drug paraphernalia and prescription drugs were also collected from the residence.
Residents should report illegal dumping by calling 812-837-9536.
