Want your garden to produce a better crop? Ever had the urge to produce your own honey? Have you ever wondered what it would take to be a beekeeper?
Then come to the Jennings County Courthouse Annex, Thursday, March 8, at 7 p.m. to hear Mark Smith of “Smith’s Beekeeping” share with you the ins and outs of basic beekeeping. Pure local honey will be available for purchase.
Smith’s Beekeeping, of Edinburgh is a full service beekeeper in central Indiana. They do direct sale to the general public through e-mail, farmers’ markets, craft fairs, and festivals. They carry all natural honey products such as extracted, comb, creamed and chunk honey. One of their most popular products is the Habanero infused honey.
This workshop is free and open to the public. For more information contact Ken Salkeld at the Jennings County Extension Office at (812) 352-3033.
