The Indiana State Attorney General’s Office has developed a new Online ID Theft Toolkit that helps keep citizens’ finances and credit safer in today’s world. Amy Wardlow, of the Consumer Protection Division, will present a free program demonstrating how to use this free online program at 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, at the Seymour Library
The State Attorney General office said, “Identity theft is a serious crime with serious costs for victims. Victims of identity theft may lose significant money and time attempting to correct their records and may find their reputation and credit rating damaged as a result.”
The Identity Theft Prevention Toolkit, fround at https://secure.in.gov/apps/ag/idtheftprevtoolkit/Login.aspx, helps victims correct their records and assists consumers to minimize the risk of identity theft. Each citizen gets their own secure online toolkit.
Wardlow grew up in Columbus and specializes in outreach and education at the state office.
